Shabab Mujtamaie is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting professionals working with youth through a holistic approach. We provide specialized content, deliver training programs, and foster a professional community. designed to empower practitioners and enhance the quality of youth work.
Founded in March 2017 as a community initiative under Khalid Ali Al-Turki & Sons Holding Company, Shabab Mujtamaie aims to increase youth productivity and strengthen their social and economic impact. This mission is achieved through capacity building, knowledge development, and fostering a professional ecosystem for youth workers in Saudi Arabia, and later across the Arab and Islamic world.
In March 2021, Shabab Mujtamaie transitioned into an endowment-based (waqf) entity, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and long-term impact.
And in 2024, Shabab Mujtamaie completed another strategic transformation by transitioning into a nonprofit organization, further strengthening its governance structure and expanding its capacity to deliver sustainable, high-impact youth initiatives
- Our Approach
- Content – Specialized and knowledge-based resources
- Capacities – Professional training and skills development
- Community – A dynamic professional network for youth workers
Our focus is on advancing professional youth work, building a vibrant professional community, and contributing to research and knowledge production in the youth sector
Shabab Mujtamaie works across three integrated tracks:
- Youth Workers
Youth workers are professionals in the public, private, and non-profit sectors who are academically and practically qualified to work directly with youth. They design and deliver non-formal programs and activities that support youth development and self-directed learning.
Shabab Mujtamaie focuses on youth workers aged 20–44.
Youth We view youth as a distinct life stage with its own cultural, social, and conceptual identity.
Our work supports those serving young people aged 15–29
- Professional Youth Work
Professional youth work complements formal education through non-formal learning.
It aims to empower young people, strengthen their independence and active citizenship, and promote their social, economic, cultural, and civic participation
